The Friends of the San Benito County Free Library is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) charitable organization. The Friends retain full discretion over all donations and grants received and those monies are disbursed as determined by the Friends’ organization leadership.

The Friends is a library nonprofit organization made up of volunteers whose shared goal is to promote the welfare and growth of the San Benito County Free Library by providing support to enrich the library's resources and make its services better known to the community.
