Request Support from Hollister City Council
Nora Conte, the county Librarian would like to fund Saturday hours at the library and has asked Hollister City Council for more funding. The city has not responded, so we're calling for support.
Here are the ways you can support the library with this request:
Email or call the city council members in your district. Here is a link to their information.
or attend the next city council meeting on Tuesday, June 24, 2016 at 7 pm, fill out a yellow public speaking card and let the city know that the limited funding of $15,000 that they've allocated for the library is not enough, especially since the majority of library users are city dwellers.
Request Support from the Board of Supervisors
On Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at 9:30 am the Board of Supervisors are reviewing their budget. We'd like them to increase funding for the library. If you can attend the meeting, please wear your Friends of the Library t-shirt (if you don't, still attend) and stand when one of our members is asking for more funding.
