For 35 years, the Friends of the San Benito County Free Library have advocated for and supported the Library and our community.  We are now reaching for an extension of services, to meet the demands of a growing population which has already grown beyond a building built in 1960, with one-third of our present population.  The Library Fund has been established by the Friends to promote the programs and services at the San Benito County Free Library and its auxiliaries, enhance and augment its facilities, provide for a needs assessment, expand the facilities, and build a new library when the opportunity arises. The Community Foundation holds the Fund and it is managed by the Friends Board of the Directors, who will make recommendations on grants from the Fund.
